I already have Calphalon Unison saute, sauce and frying pans. I needed a pan to cook pasta and rice for myself and was unwilling to use my saucepan for such a task. Overall I'm not sure this pan is worthwhile, if you can afford it I'd definitely recommend spending more for a heavier gauge pan.

I am a Foodie and this pot is excellent and a steal at this price.

I have more and more pans in this line. I actually LIKE that they're lighter weight than many pans; it makes it much easier for me to hold the pan with one hand while pouring or scraping the last bits of whatever out of it.
The main review I wrote for the line of cookware is here:

This and the everyday pan are the two that get the most use in this household.
Two of the pans I've bought in this line went back immediately, due to irregularities on the bottom, so I advise you to check what you receive. This one was fine when I got it, it just hasn't aged well.. there are dark spots on the inside that seem to be impurities in the stainless steel. None of my other dozen or so Chef's Classic pans have done this, so I suspect this was a flaw as well and for the price, I might just buy another one. It might also be because we cook a lot of pasta in this house and because I'm not a fastidious housekeeper and because this particular pan is more likely to be left sitting around with water in it. (This pan never really gets put away... it's either in the sink or the dishwasher or the stovetop.)
And just in case you're wondering: Barkeeper's Friend is great for cleaning these pans, but doesn't do anything about the spots I've got. That's why I think they're impurities.
But, see, I am really very pleased with these pans, so despite the glitch in this one, I'm likely to just replace it. I think they're great pans for the Amazon price. (Well, okay, that varies a bit... when the price gets low, for sure.)
Make sure you know they can go in the oven, too... I've found that very helpful.

It was perfect for frying. Didn't use a lot of oil and the splatters were minimal.
Was exactly what I was looking for.

I love Cuisinart products, specially the fact you don't need to much heat to cook with them. That is one of the reasons I bought this pot, my husband didn't believe it and he burned the pot, so I had to replace it. They are always shinny and look very cool in the kitchen. The only thing I don't like is the price... but they are worth it!
