This thing is the perfect. Great size, good quality, heat seems to radiate evenly through this pot very well. I love it! Only thing is, I will only hand wash, not going to take any chances on ruining this because I was too lazy to wash it, not that I think it would, just want to be safe. If your need a pot for chili or soups than this is for you.

 "Great cooking pot" 2009-08-12
By M. predhomme (plymouth, mi)
The only thing I want to mention is that this pot was accidentally put in the dishwasher, and it turned the surface whitish. I don't think it ruined the non-stick surface, but it should not be placed in the dishwasher.

 "DO NOT BUY THIS" 2010-03-25
By Di Maro Vincenzo (Washington, D.C.)
I purchased this saucepot in August last year. After using it TWICE for cooking pasta and then corn, I noticed the product was stained at the bottom (white marks all over). I contacted Cuisinart and I was asked to send the item to them for analysis. I regret I did. Since then, I've experienced the WORST customer service ever. It took them months to evaluate the saucepot. They never took the initiative to contact me back. I had to keep calling them. It turns out their technician says they cannot fix the problem and that the product needs to be replaced! WOW! So I used the item TWICE, noticed it's damaged and have to buy A NEW ONE??? If the analysis showed that it needs to be replaced, it's because there's something wrong with the saucepot. If I only used it TWICE (to cook pasta and corn), how can it be my fault? It's pretty obvious that the product was defective.

Needless to say, I did not pay for a new product, so Cuisinart sent the faulty one back to me! This has been going on since August 2009. We're approaching the end of March 2010. So I get the saucepot back and there's not even a letter from Cuisinart apologizing or anything.

I'm obviously not buying anything from Cuisinart ever again in my life.

We like the size, material and easy cleanup with this saucepot. The multiclad pro line really performs well. We use gas and it seems to take half the time to bring water to a boil as other non clad pans. It's durable and very handsome after extended usage.

This line of cuisinart is very good. Not bad comparing to All-Clad stainless steel line. At much cheaper price, this is a bargain. The lid handle is a little bit cheap design. The rest is excellent. I like it.

I ordered the saucepot based on a rave review from a friend and have no regrets. It cooks evenly and is easy to handle. I was lucky enough to find the 12 piece set for a reduced price of $189.99 on amazon and quickly snagged that as well.

 "Great, versatile pan" 2010-10-07
By Anonymous (Ann Arbor MI USA)
I'm using this pan for soup, stew, sauces, roasting veggies in the oven, etc. It heats well and evenly. It has cleaned up well, and I have not experienced the black spots that others have mentioned. Also, I have not found the walls and rim of the pan to be too thin, as others have stated. I have only used silicone utensils, since I don't want to take a chance of marring the finish.

The pan goes from the stove to tabletop since it looks nice enough for serving. I'm happy with this purchase and believe it is a good value for the money.

"follow the instructions, it's a great product" 2010-09-13
By xing_foster
it's my first review. the reason i wanna to leave this review is because i realized that many product failure is due to improper use of the product by consumers. I had a small pot from Cuisinart Chef and didn't know the trick about it's bottom. now i learn how to read the instructions before i use a product. READ the instructions, fellows! you cannot assume anything about a product. I thought i knew everything about this seemingly simple product...

As a marketing student, i was very conscious about product failure and its causes. read the instructions. how simpler it can be. then you may avoid the "product failure". just want to share my thoughts.

also, great bucks for the bang, love this quart!

 "Somewhat Disappointed" 2010-09-13
By Author (Kitsap)
I got this mainly to make popcorn and cook large quantities of herbs or soup. The shape is actually wonderful and I appreciate the glass lid. However, the entire pot is quite thin and it does have spots inside which are worrisome. I do like the design and if you use pots for popping corn, you might appreciate the narrow bottom and ample room for expansion offered by the sides, but it is not a quality product and the spots could actually be hazardous.

"Cuisinart Chef's Classic Stainless - Functional and Durable" 2010-07-29
By Sunny324 (Grand Rapids, MI USA)
I purchased the 10 inch open skillet, 6 - quart sauce pot, 12 inch every day pan, and 3 quart chef's pan from the Cuisinart Chef's Classic Stainless line. I believe that these are about all the pans you really need for a typical kitchen, along with perhaps a smaller pot and a small non-stick pan for eggs.

I have been using these pots and pans for a few months, and I am enjoying using them. Not to mention that you can't beat the price for this kind of quality cookware. I feel that these pans will last for a very long time.

I love these Cuisinart Chef's Classic pots. After 50 years of marriage, I decided to buy new pots and am not sorry. I threw out my old, dented copper-bottom Revere pots and just love these new ones. I clean them in the dishwasher and they look great.

"This is not 18/10 stainless steel!" 2010-04-20
By Jae Bum Kim
I thought this is 18/10 stainless steel. But it's not!

All the units under the chef's classic from the Cuisinart have the 18/10 mark on their bottom.

But ths doesn't have it. I checked Macy's website. And it doesn't say this pot is 18/10.

If I purchased it from Macy's, I would return it.

 "A Solid Stock Pot" 2010-03-22
By Tim Allen (CHICAGO, IL, US)
This 6qt. stock pot, as it should be named, works well for it's purpose. For the price it is probably the best pot you will get. The stainless steel, as with all of cuisinarts chef's classic line, do show spots after cooking if your water is not soft, but is easily cleaned with bar keepers friend or equivilant. This is really only seen when cooking pasta. It holds temperature well, and when used properly, has very minimal sticking. By far one of the best and most successfull features on the entire line of pots and pans is the dripless rim. When pouring out sauce, water, or whatever you may be cooking, nothing gets dripped and then burned onto the sides of the exterior. Helps to keep your pots in good condition and clean. The lid also fits the 10 skillet so makes good for being universal. Would recommend this pot and the entire line of cuisinart cookware to anyone who wants good quality, and best of all affordable cookware.

"Do not buy this from Kitchen Gallery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" 2010-01-11
By Deborah (United States)
I ordered this pot, Green Gourmet, item number GG66-24.

Kitchen Gallery shipped me a completely different pot. They sent me a Chef's classic Model 666-24. The coating on the pan is not Green Gourmet. Green Gourmet has a "ceramic" coating. The pot they sent me has a "quantanium" coating.

I did not get what I ordered.

I have other pans that are Green gourmet and I'm very happy with them.

Amazon should not allow Kitchen Gallery to fulfill orders anymore. They are crooks.

 "A good pot" 2009-10-26
By Stuart|Anne (Seattle, WA)
Most of our pots are Chantal. We're quite happy with them, but whenever I drop one the enamel chips off a little and exposes the steel. Having done this one too many times, my wife got me one of these Cuisinart pots as a replacement. I'm happy with it - it works quite well. The inner non-stick surface seems to be very non-stick. We've only used it about a half dozen times, so I can't guarantee that the non-stick will hold up in the long term, but it has worked quite well so far.

One thing that I still like better about the Chantal pots are they glass lids that let me see through without lifting. The Cuisinart lid is metal and must be lifted for peeks inside.

"Great non-stick attributes so far" 2009-09-05
By Terry Dact El (California)
I've had several of the Cuisinart GreenGourmet frying pans that are great at first but had to be exchanged when they started to stick. When they stick, they are awful, much worse than Teflon ever was. Even though they didn't start to flake like Teflon can, they became unusable. I had the same disappointing results with another "green" line, the Greenpan Thermolon sold on Home Shopping Network. They tell you to season these kinds of pans by coating them in vegetable oil and putting them in a 300 degree oven for an hour but that did absolutely no good.

So far so good with this stock pot though, I've had it for three months now. I use it quite often for soups, stews and curries and it has been wonderful - no sticking and cleanup is a breeze. It looks very high quality and the size is perfect. I was actually replacing a 5 quart stockpot and was worried it would be too big but it is tall and narrow instead of short and squat so it actually takes up less room on the stove-top.

 "great for blanching peas" 2010-07-26
By Debra Adams (Alabama)
Was looking for a pot to replace an old pasta cooker I had been using for years to blanch peas and beans before freezing. This is PERFECT!!!!!! Water quickly comes to a boil and the strainer makes easy work of blanching and cooling down the peas. Also the insert almost reaches the bottom of the pot ...so you can blanch 2-3 times more than in a conventional enameled alum. pan that I had been using. A MUST HAVE for anyone that is putting up peas or beans for the winter.

 "Replacement stocpots" 2010-10-17
By onlineshopper
Replaced 6 and 8 quart stockpots. Only buy tri-ply stainless steel. Considered All-Clad and Tremontia but the All-Clad was very expensive and I could not purchase the sizes I wanted in open stock from Tremontia. Went with the Cuisinart and I am very pleased. I would have given them 5 stars but the lids are light compared to my older pieces of All-Clad and they do spot a bit on the inside after washing. I keep a container of stainless steel cleaner under the sink and only have to use a tiny bit and my dish brush and the pot is as good as new. The lighter weight lid is not really an issue. Great pots no regrets.

 "Quality stockpot, great price" 2010-06-02
By B. Winstead (San Antonio, TX)
After researching stockpots, and seeing the great ratings for the Cuisinart Multiclad Pro line, I decided not to spend the extra money to buy the All-Clad stockpot. This was not an easy decision, because the rest of my cookware is All-Clad and I love it. For a piece that would be used more seldom than most of the other pieces, I decided to try the Cuisinart Multiclad Pro. The stockpot has a nice, heavy feel to it, and has been used to make soup, chili, stew. I've boiled chicken, ham bones, turkey carcasses, and through it all, have been thrilled with the quality. The lid is a little lighter weight than the pot, but that doesn't bother me, as I don't need a heavy lid. For the price, this is truly a bargain. Now if money were no object, would I have purchased the All-Clad over the Cuisinart Multiclad?...maybe.

 "Great Stock Pot" 2010-03-29

I like the fact that this pot has aluminum up the sides as well as on the bottom. It worked great when I made turkey soup from the day before's turkey carcass. The pot is very strong and solid. The lid looks a bit thinner, but seems fairly sturdy as well. I'd buy it again, as it is a great deal for the money.

 "A Best Buy" 2010-03-01
By Jeffrey L. Patten (Tucson, AZ)
I'm a bargain hunter and I always look to buy the best quality I can afford for the lowest price I can find. In the February issue of "Cook's Illustrated", the America's Test Kitchen folk did an equipment review on Stock pots. They recommend a 12 quart size as being most universally useful, and that was what they tested. Unfortunately, the Cuisinart Multi-Clad wasn't one of those tested, but I think the results of what they did test speaks volumes. Their winner was All-Clad and I quote " . . . didn't have a single flaw - except a price tag over $300". Their "Best Buy" was the Cuisinart Chef's Classic, and again I quote "Very similar to All-Clad - except with a price tag well under $100". The Cuisinart Multi-Clad offers virtually the same features as All-Clad, with the aluminum core extending up the sides of the pot to provide more even heating, but like the Chef's Classic, with a price under $100. Getting top of the line features for mid-level pricing makes for a best buy in my opinion.

 "Cuisinart stock pot" 2009-11-15
By Sora
I purchased this pot to replace a 35 year old La Crueset 12 quart enameled cast iron pot. I use it mainly to put up preserves, and fruit butters. The enamel on the old pot had finally started to crack and peel off. Desparatly needed a new pot. Found this one on Amazon for an amazing price. I already have a Cuisinart set with a 7 quart the largest. So this one complements the team. It's much lighter and easier to clean and deal with than the old La Crueset. I love it.
